Land and Sea Specialty Meats began with the Powell family on the Western slope of Colorado. Having a long-lasting commitment to quality food service, the Powells began catering weddings, special events, and festivals.

The Powells then took their food service operation on the road full time. They traveled all over Arizona participating in fall and winter-time events, and headed north to Reno and Northern California for spring and summer festivals. It was not long before the Powells chose the Reno/Tahoe area as the location to base Land and Sea Specialty Meats.

Owners Brian and Lane Powell have worked in the food industry for over a decade, experienced in everything from banquets and weddings to festivals and firefighter catering. Skilled in design and metal fabrication, the Powell brothers also build mobile kitchen equipment capable of large-scale food service at challenging locations. They continue to fabricate specialty equipment in their "free time."

Land and Sea Specialty Meats is committed to serving high-quality meats and seafood. Our specialty meats are ranch-raised, and grass fed. They are not given added growth hormones, and are raised under the most natural grazing conditions Wyoming has to offer. Our seafood is caught off the Alaska coast, and is shipped from Seattle, WA.

We are a GREEN company

We strive to be "GREEN" in our operations, having as little impact as possible on the environment. In fact, we offer a FREE used cooking oil collection service at every event we attend. Used oil is recycled into our own bio-diesel. Other food vendors take advantage of our oil collection service too, so promoters don't have an oily mess to deal with after the show.
